I’ve admired your YV since I first saw it in one of the Model Rail Magazines in th late 1980s! The idea if modeling a shortline, just really seems to make sense for a model railroad. I’m also a RR history buff and would think your research into the Yosemite Valley RR to have been as fun as building your model railroad. Just recently I took the 1994 Great Model railroads, which featured your Yosemite Valley Railroad, and with Google Earth, attempted to trace the YVRR’s route form Merced to Yosemite. Many of the small hamlets and junctions don’t seem to exist anymore so, where the line was, is hard to trace, now!

Glad your RR has been recognized as one of the best!
